Leadership Cape May County is a transformative nine-month program that brings together professionals from the business, government, education, and nonprofit sectors to develop the knowledge, skills, and relationships needed to lead effectively in today's evolving community.

Through a combination of classroom instruction, interactive discussions, behind-the-scenes field experiences, and a collaborative capstone project, participants will strengthen essential leadership competencies, including strategic thinking, communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and team building. The program also provides participants with a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Cape May County while fostering meaningful connections with fellow community leaders.

"The strength of Leadership Cape May County lies in its commitment to continuous growth,” said Barbara Stafford Jones, Cape May County Chamber Education Foundation Executive Director. “Each class helps shape the next as we evaluate and enhance the program to provide the most meaningful leadership experience possible. By combining classroom instruction, immersive field experiences, and collaborative learning, we cultivate leaders who are equipped to address the opportunities and challenges facing Cape May County and to serve our communities with confidence."

In addition to the program's leadership curriculum, the Cape May County Chamber Education Foundation has partnered with Stockton University to provide Leadership Cape May County graduates with the opportunity to earn graduate-level credits toward a Master of Business Administration (MBA), creating an exciting pathway for continued professional and academic advancement.

The 2026-2027 program begins on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, with sessions held on the third Wednesday of each month. The program concludes in May 2027, followed by a graduation dinner in June. Tuition is $899 and scholarships to qualified applicants are available.
