Cape May County Workforce Development Announces $5,000 Education and Training Grants Available for County Residents
RIO GRANDE, NJ - The Cape May County Division of Workforce Development offers education and training grants up to $5,000 and paid On-The-Job-Training (OJT) opportunities with local companies and businesses providing year-round employment.
Education and training grants are available for in-demand jobs such as: LPN, Dental Assistant, Computer Technology, HVAC/Plumbing, Certified Nurse Assistant, CDL-B/A license, Culinary Arts, Welding, Pharmacy Technician, Dental Radiology, Cosmetology, Electrician, and many more. Grants can be applied to tuition at eligible area tech schools, colleges, training partners.
Residents looking for On-The-Job (OJT) training, the Workforce Development program provides opportunities for unemployed/underemployed residents to learn a new trade or skill while being paid full time. The goal is for OJT workers to be hired following training.

The One-Stop Career Center provides an array of employment services that support unemployed and dislocated workers, youths, high school dropouts, veterans, ex-offenders, age 55-plus, and those who have physical or mental disability. For more information call 609-224-2000.
The services provided are supported by the New Jersey Department of Labor (NJDOL) with funds from the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). 100% of these services are financed through federal funding sources.
