The Chamber has been closely monitoring the ongoing development of the NJ PACT/NJ REAL regulations issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). A Notice of Substantial Change outlining these revisions was published in the July 21 edition of the New Jersey Register.
Updates to NJDEP's Radical Climate Change Rules Still Pose Major Risk to Cape May County.
Despite "substantial" changes, NJPACT REAL Rules will still:
*Increase Insurance Costs
*Increase Construction Costs
*Curb Development
*Impose Higher Building Standards on Working Class Families
There will be a virtual public hearing on September 3.
