Cape May County Parks & Zoo Welcomes Two Bobcats

Published Tuesday, April 15, 2025

Cape May County Park and Zoo is thrilled to welcome two young bobcats from Arizona. Born in June 2024,  these siblings, a brother and sister as yet unnamed, arrived in March and settled into the former bobcat exhibit located in the zoo's small mammals section. Visitors can admire these fascinating animals daily during zoo hours, from 10 AM to 4:30 PM.

Bobcats, named for their distinctive short "bobbed" tails, are medium sized cats native to North America. These elusive creatures, primarily nocturnal, inhabit various ecosystems and are rarely spotted in the wild. The addition of these bobcats enhances the zoo's committment to wildlife education and conservation.

Cape May County Park and Zoo is free and located at 720 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House, exit 11 on the Garden State Parkway. www.cmczoo.com
