NJDEP proposes radical climate change rules.
REAL/NJPACT rules promulgated from Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 100 will:
- Increase insurance costs
- Increase construction costs
- Curb development, including affordable housing
- Impose higher building standards on working class families
Cape May County understands the importance of addressing climate change, but believes the State of NJ should take a more gradual approach based on sea level rise projections with a higher likelihood of occurring.
