Cape May, NJ, – The Cape May County Chamber proudly participated in the "Book Brigade" prior to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the new Cape May City Library on June 13. This event featured a symbolic passing of books along a human chain from the old library on Ocean Street to the new location on Franklin Street.
The "Book Brigade" recreated a historic moment from May 22, 1982, when books were similarly passed from the library in the basement of City Hall to the library on Ocean Street. This nostalgic act celebrated the community's dedication to preserving and honoring its rich history.
The Cape May County Chamber extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Cape May City Library on its grand opening and looks forward to supporting its continued success.
