The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation graduated 14 participants from its Leadership Cape May County Program on June 12 at The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor.
Leadership Cape May County is a program designed to develop informed, committed, and qualified business, community, and civic leaders. Based on successful Leadership programs across the United States, this initiative combines classroom learning with field experience to enhance leadership skills.
Participants explored various topics, including leadership styles, strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, effective communication, change management, and conflict resolution. The program provided insights into the exciting developments and pressing issues in Cape May County, requiring strong leadership to address.
A standout feature is the capstone project, where teams create innovative plans to address local needs, presenting their solutions to a consortium of business and civic leaders for potential implementation.
The nine-month program promises lifelong benefits, with alumni gaining access to the Leadership Network for continued community involvement, networking events, and specialized education sessions.
