The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will be featuring Cape May County Clerk Rita M. Rothberg and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office’s LGBTQ+ Liaison Officer Captain Joseph Landis at the Chamber’s membership meeting on February 15 at The Inn of Cape May, Cape May. The event is sponsored by F&S Digital.
Clerk Rothberg will be discussing the real estate market trends in Cape May County. She will also be providing awareness of current title fraud schemes in addition to the varied services provided including Business Name Registration, U.S. Passport Application acceptance, Notary Oaths, Property Alert and services for Veterans and Exempt Firefighters. Clerk Rothberg has been with the County Clerk’s office since 1985, and officially became County Clerk in 2005.
Captain Landis will provide information regarding the “Safe Place” initiative by the Prosecutor’s Office that promotes public safety, provides training/education, and most importantly, supports those that are victims and targeted of biased incidents and hate crimes that take place in Cape May County. Captain Landis has worked with the Wildwood Police department, then in the gangs and narcotics department at the County Prosecutor’s Office and now is the LGBTQ+ Liaison Officer, a position he has held since March 2020.
