The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications from June 2020 high school graduates planning to pursue a college or a trade school education.
Applications are due by Friday, April 3, 2020 and can be accessed on the Chamber website www.CapeMayCountyChamber.com/scholarships. A scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to a student from each high school in Cape May County. Home schooled students are also welcome to apply. Last year, $8,000 in scholarships was distributed to students from throughout Cape May County.
The Chamber’s Education Foundation utilizes an online application process. “Today’s students live in a technology driven world. Utilizing a web-based application form is more consistent with how students learn and communicate and is also much more environmentally responsible,” stated Vicki Clark, Executive Director of the Chamber’s Education Foundation and President of the County Chamber.
The application criteria require that the student or their parent/guardian be employed by a business that is a member of the Cape May County Chamber and be a resident of Cape May County. Additional criteria can be found on the application.
