The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will present a seminar designed to help businesses understand how to implement the new paid sick leave law that went into effect recently and concerns all employees in every type of business.
This seminar will be presented on December 14 by a panel of legal experts including Norman Briggs from Briggs Law Office, Steven Brog from Perskie Mairone Brog Barrera & Baylinson, and Amy Rudley with Cooper Levenson, Attorneys at Law. The seminar is sponsored by CASA Payroll Services and will be held at the Atlantic Cape Community College, Cape May Court House Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, N.J. from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
The session will cover topics including:
Who is covered; How sick leave is accrued; How leave can be used; What are the penalties for business that do not comply; How should employers prepare for implementing the new law; What about seasonal, part-time, and temporary workers; and more.
