Cape May County Chamber Selected For National Program

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (November 13, 2018) —The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, has been selected by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) to participate in a national professional development program designed to boost innovative community health initiatives.  The Chamber will be represented by Vicki Clark, President of the Chamber and Tom Piratzky, Executive Director of the Cape Regional Foundation.

Professionals selected for ACCE’s year-long Healthy Communities program will participate in a design-thinking lab that will help them develop and implement a plan to tackle a specific community health challenge. Curriculum is designed to help participants demonstrate the leadership role their chamber of commerce can play in strengthening quality of life and supporting equitable prosperity.

“We are honored that the Cape Regional Wellness Alliance and our project on reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences has been selected to participate in this national program.  The Cape May County Chamber of commerce has and will continue to play a major role in the project working with over thirty organizations throughout the county, including our core team representing; health care, education, law enforcement, mental health and business”, stated Tom Piratzky, Executive Director of the Cape Regional Foundation.

Leaders selected to participate in the 2018 Healthy Communities program represent chambers of commerce in Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Wisconsin. The program is made possible with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
