Workshop Description

Who doesn’t love a great piece of cake?  The same holds true for a great service experience.  As Cape May County has embarked on its mission to Serving Dreams in 2016, this program will provide the 4 essential ingredients that will have participants thinking Service is a Piece of C.A.K.E.TM   The perfect recipe is a great combination of Communication, Attitude, Knowledge and Excellence. 

Attendees who actively participate in this program will be joining others throughout Cape May County on the journey towards ‘Serving Dreams’.  Together we will create incredible experiences for our customers, our teams, and our community.

Meet the Speaker

Mary FoltzMary Foltz biography picture is the region’s premier customer service consultant to leading service and retail industry companies, and specializes in designing and facilitating customized training programs and seminars on Customer Service, Leadership and Supervisory Development, Interpersonal Communications, and Embracing Change. Since starting her business Service Counts! in 2005, Mary has consulted to clients across industry sectors in areas of Service Leadership, Guest Experience Evaluations, Team Building, Manager Retreats and a variety of training seminars and line-level activities.
Workshop Objectives
  • Breakdown the 4 essential principles of providing outstanding service – Communication, Attitude, Knowledge and Excellence
  • Identify ways to implement the Ritz Carlton’s 3 Steps of Service into your operation
  • Appreciate the financial impact of a family of 4 on a week’s vacation to Cape May County
  • Inspire Service Providers to seek opportunities to create “WOW” experiences.

This grant-funded training workshop is available to the business public. To register, you will need your company's FEIN Tax ID Number and also agree to pay your employees regular wages for this two hour session. 


This training is provided through a cooperative effort with Atlantic Cape Community College and Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and funded through a grant from the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development and the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
