When the weather is great and the fishing is even better, everyone goes
home with a smile on their face and a bag full of Striped Bass filets.
That’s what happened during last week at South Jersey Marina.
A 35 pounder was caught by Fred Jackson from Bayville, NJ. Fred and 5 of
his friends had a total of 6 keepers and several releases on a 6 hour
trip, fishing spots and eels in the rips.
This combination of good weather and great fishing will soon give way to
old man winter. Come out and enjoy the action by making a reservation on
one of our charter boats. You won’t regret it !

A group heading out Striper fishing on Wednesday Nov. 9th had a great
day and caught the legal limit in size and number 12. The heaviest
weight of 42 pounds set a new Marina record for 2011.
The top angler was
Mike Carroll from Wallingford, PA.
This same crew was sure they could repeat this success story, so they
went out again the next day Nov. 10. The results were exactly the
same; 12 Stripers, one weighing in at 42 pounds.
This time, the top
angler was Mike Carroll, Jr. the son of yesterday’s winner. UNBELIEVABLE
but true.
Additional charters posted nice Striper catches this week as well.

Well, we've all been waiting a long time for Mother Nature to cool down
our Delaware Bay waters. It has finally happened and the Striped Bass
have arrived. The Charter boats at South Jersey Marina are all loaded up
with spots, eel and bunker in preparation for this event.
The Fleet had some luck on Wednesday when Bob Capuzzi from Drexel Hill
and some of his friends to headed out to Striper waters. Bob was
quite proud to bring this 40 pound fish to the dock.
If this size fish is just the beginning, we could be in for a banner
year. So, get in on the action and call Charlie for booking a
reservation on a charter boat. The Fall season is short....act now.
