Middle Township NJ, easily accessible from several exits off the Garden
State Parkway, is the perfect vacation spot for nature lovers.
The Cape May County Zoo, on Route 9 less than a quarter mile from the
Parkway, is one of the most popular attractions in all of southern New
Jersey. Located in the Cape May County Park, always a popular stop for
visitors, the Zoo features exotic animals housed in natural, spacious
habitats with a World of Birds exhibit in a tropical plant-filled aviary
that resembles a rain forest.
The Wetlands Institute on Stone Harbor Boulevard overlooks 6,000
acres of marshes, home to osprey, turtles, ducks, sea birds and salt
water creatures. Exciting activities, including summer kayak tours, and
programs are scheduled throughout the year with a gala Wings ‘n Water
Festival every September.

Campgrounds that cater to outdoor visitors with
camping tent
sites, cabins and RV hook-ups dot the township, each with the amenities campers
need including pools, lakes, activities, playgrounds and modern facilities.
For a change of pace, the Performing Arts Center in Cape
May Court House hosts a variety of programs for all cultural tastes throughout
the year. History buffs will want to include a stop at the Cape May County
Historical and Genealogical Museum for a glimpse of the county’s historical
legacy that dates back to before the American Revolution.
Cape May Court House, the county seat of government, is a
historic town dating back to the county’s earliest days, when the area was
settled in the 1600s.
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Information Center
is located in Middle Township at Exit 11 on the Garden State Parkway.
