May 26, 2007: Tree of Lights to Benefit Museum
The Cape May County Historical Society will be honoring military past and
present on the Memorial Day Tree of Lights, which will be lit on Saturday,
May 26th. Individuals and families can honor or memorialize love ones,
relatives, or friends by purchasing a light for a donation of $10 each. Your
gift to the Memorial Day Tree of Lights is a patriotic way of remembering
our military. The lights will be placed on the Daughters of the American
Revolution Tree located on the Museum grounds.
All proceeds raised from the Tree of Lights will benefit the Society’s
Museum.
May 26, 2007: Yard Sale to Benefit Museum

Would you like to help a good cause? Then consider donating your unwanted
household items and books to the Cape May County Historical Society’s Yard
and Book Sale on Saturday, May 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
All proceeds will be used to provide programs and exhibits at the Museum.

June 23, 2007: “Remember the Ladies…”
Join us on Saturday, June 23rd 11 am to 2 pm at the Cape May County
Museum located @ 504 Route 9 North, CMCH, for a day planned with your
interests in mind. Begin the day with a lecture by Greg Aprill of Leaming’s
Run Gardens on 18th century kitchen gardens. Greg will speak about herbs and
vegetables that you would find in a typical garden and what heirloom
varieties can be grown today.
Following Greg’s program, we will serve a delicious lunch in the gardens,
weather permitting.
The afternoon will focus on the Victorian woman, her roles in the family
and in society, and the manners and the mores of the Victorian era.
Following the afternoon program, the Museum will be open for a private
guided tour for anyone who would like to visit the Museum.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the Museum. We hope you will join us
for this special day.
