| BEFORE THERE WERE the widest, white sandy beaches on the Jersey Shore, before the Boardwalk grew to an entertainment center of 38-blocks that boasts more rides than Disneyland, and before the addition of many more exciting attractions, the municipalities of the Five Mile Beach were known as a pleasant land for sunning, fishing and hunting for the Ketchemeche Indians. Later known as The Wildwoods, the reasons to vacation there have greatly increased.
