For music lovers, the Cape May Music Festival is six music-filled weeks in late spring and early summer. Well-known musicians headline the April and November Cape May Jazz Festivals and the Ocean City Symphony. In the Wildwoods, there’s always the fabulous Boardwalk, a new Convention Center with great entertainment and of course that Doo Wop architecture that will have you humming your favorite Beach Boys tune in no time!

Entertainment runs the gamut in Cape May County, offering a little bit of everything. Theatre lovers will be charmed by the productions of East Lynne Theatre, and Cape May Stage, both performing in Cape May during the spring, summer, and fall.

Cape May, a Victorian seaside resort that served as the site of the summer White House for three presidents, is filled with ornate and colorful examples of elegant homes decorated with intricate gingerbread and sweeping verandas, bathed in the soft glow of gaslight and reminiscent of another era.

Christmastime in Cape May is a Currier and Ives moment with wassail parties, tours of festively decorated inns and the jingle of holiday bells on heated trolleys. Holiday tours and special events begin the weekend before Thanksgiving and run through the New Year Holiday.

The neighboring community of West Cape May is affectionately dubbed the Lima Bean Capital of the World, a distinction it wears with great pride, while Cape May Point is a prime viewing location for many migratory birds and also the monarch butterflies.
