BIKING IS A GREAT WAY Biking is a great way to see the Jersey Cape from an early morning ride on the boardwalks and promenades to a late afternoon pedaling adventure along country roads, through historic Cape May or on designated bike paths.
The Cape May County Park in Cape May Court House offers paved and gravel roadways around the perimeter of the park with some dirt trails through the parks forested terrain for seasoned riders ready for the challenge. Nearby, the Clarence Davies Sports Complex offers a paved pathway that connects to the park for long distance biking.
The Seashore Road Bike Lane in Lower Township is located along County Route 626 from West Cape May to the Cape May Canal. Or, pedal along the new, paved bike route that stretches from Rio Grande into Lower Township and passes Historic Cold Spring Village.
Wildwood Crest has a fully-paved, beachfront bike path that provides a beautiful ocean and beach view at every point. In North Wildwood, theres a bike path on the beach stretching from the end of the Boardwalk at 16th Avenue north to Second Avenue. The city also designated a bicycle path the length of the city from 26th Avenue to the Anglesea section via Surf Avenue.
For bicyclists who prefer the street, riding in the historic landmark City of Cape May is simply charming with its quaint Victorian architecture and breathtaking views at every corner.
Ocean City has a bicycle path between 29th and 35th streets on Haven Avenue. Bike rentals are available with a full selection for the entire family including bicycles built for two and pedal-powered surreys that carry up to six people
